Yes and it's also modeled after J.lo.

It'd be insanely easy for the developers to make it, since all they'd have to do is set everyone's health to a certain level (in fact, i'm pretty sure there are already one-hit kill fan-made mods for Fallout 3 and NV) and tweak a few numbers here and there.

For people who like the RPG-esque vanilla version where you can shoot a raider in the face but he doesn't die because fuck you he's just better than you, they'll still have the regular mode. But us masochists will finally have the extreme stealth challenge we've been waiting for. Especially if they make it so that you can only save in certain places, so reloading every five seconds isn't an option (however, they'd have to fix the freezing issues before they could expect us to play a mode where we can't save all the time).

Here you go, the survival game that actually makes it about survival.

I wanted to, but then I read a review that changed my mind. I might give it another chance if I see it on a steam sale

Today is the release date for The Witcher 3 by the way.

Well two people have said it's like a Resident Evil game but with an even more complex storyline. One of those two people said it was superior to the later Resident Evil games and the other said it was a Resident Evil wannabe so two very different opinions.

Despite being Resident Evil nut, I recognize that the series has got tired and games like The Last of Us have set the new yardstick for survival horrors, so that's why The Evil Within appeals, playing it tonight so will give my first thoughts on it here.

Honestly it's not very good. I played the demo and was pretty underwhelmed, and further on in the game it gets really weird. Not just the story, which is pretty stupid, but with the gameplay as well. It wants to be old school survival horror where you have to ration your ammo and health, yet the game puts you in situations where you need to attack.

As for The Witcher 3, I already have it pre-loaded and just have to wait until 4 pm for it to unlock.

I'm not a big fan of the Resident Evil games either so that's not a great comparison to me. Take Resident Evil 4 which is held in great regard. You can't sidestep and it pits a variety of manga-style secret agents against monsters in a castle in Transylvania or equivalent.

It's like James Bond meets Dracula. Possibly fun, but also very contrived.
