Well keep in mind, i'll be playing them on a pretty good PC. I've been playing all my games in high quality ever since I got my graphics card, so I don't think i'll run into many issues. Hopefully.

I'm not overly fussed over graphics but at least want to view something that looks attractive enough to play. You mention Deus Ex a game a number of people rate as one of the best ever games. I've only played the more recent console version of the game and thought it kind of average.

That's no problem concerning the Tex Murphy games. Also have you heard of the Wasteland games? I don't know much about them but I know they cover the same ground as the Fallout games.

Deus Ex is still worthy of all the accolades but it has aged woefully in terms of graphics, which is why I put it on my list. As to Wasteland, I'm only familiar with Wasteland 2 because I backed it on Kickstarter. Basically Fallout was a spiritual successor to Wasteland because EA wouldn't sell the rights to the franchise back to Interplay. Wasteland 2 is pretty much the original Fallout series but with some updated graphics and gameplay and definitely worth your time.

The first 10 minutes or so of Day of the Tentacle may just be the awesomest in point-n-click history :D

I might still give Deux Ex a try for its reputation and have lined up Wasteland 2 to play after the Fallout games.

@Tore
Day of the Tentacle looks impressive and have just read that with Grim Fandango it's coming out as a remaster quite soon.

With any luck they're put more effort into that then they did their Grim Fandango remaster. Truth be told I'd rather they just do what GOG does and make the game available as an .exe with a DOSBox front end or something. It's nice that Grim Fandango is legally available for purchase and play, but I ran into so many problems, bugs, glitches, and CtD that I couldn't finish it. Instead I grabbed a torrent and that worked fine.

That's pretty negative with the bugs etc, is it a general complaint or something that just happened with you? Isn't the game available on console as well? Even though it feels strange to play a point and click adventure on a console.

When it was released in February it had quite a lot of problems and the Steam forums were littered with threads asking for fixes and people generally complaining about the quality of the remaster. I was hoping to do a LP with it but I couldn't get any recording software to work, every time I tried FRAPS, DxTory, or Mirilis Action! the game would crash so I scrapped that idea. I also believe it was released for consoles as well, but the game was keyboard controlled with a Resident Evil style tank control scheme so it works. Personally with both the XBone and PS4 using x86 architecture I don't think there should be any reason to not release everything as multiplatform.

This game is amazing. I got a whole bunch of DLC's with my purchase apparently, and so I have this gun where I shoot pieces of a shark, and when a few seconds passes by, a shark comes out of the ground and eats the enemy. I've also bought a ***** as a melee weapon, and i've already stolen at least 20 vehicles and killed a bunch of police men. I'm having way too much fun.

See what I mean, Batlord?

Anyway, Ki, if you like the third one then you really have to check out the fourth one (if you haven't already).

I bought both of them yesterday for 4.99 ea so I will be playing the IV one once I finish the third.
