Sandbox games are cool but they are kinda getting formulaic.
Like, you get a list of all the sidequest missions and the story missions and most of the time your actions on the missions don't really change how the story will play out so the game still plays like a linear game but you get the illusion of choice from them. some games do change this a bit but players are always restricted to take a certain path Every time i play Skyrim and look at all the side quest missions that sh*t becomes a chore to get through and will they affect the main story if you do them? no, but you do it for the loot, like it's some kind of single player mmorpg. i know Skyrim is more an open world than and sandbox but both genres are managed the same i always praise Fallout cause it's one of the few games that has made me feel my choices really affected the environment and the story.
