Well, The Binding of Isaac is the title of the original, and I agree, that one does suck in comparison to The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth.

Similar to Bioshock, Infinite has a gorgeous setting and fan-****ing-tastic backdrops. The entire hall of heroes chapter where you start on a beach and traverse your way through and end up at a museum with moving exhibits, and you are not even conscious of the fact that this is all taking place in the ****ing sky--that speaks volumes about the immersion.

The setting gets a 10/10 from me easily.

Please don't use that word. It's a linear level where you fight the same enemies since the beginning of the game, with NPCs that you can't interact with at all. And it's obvious you're in the sky, since every five seconds the game gives you a big cloudy view as if to say "Hey, did I mention that you're IN THE SKY?!" And the female is forced to dance around and act all girly, because surely a female in a video game can't actually have a personality for a change?

You sound as if you didn't really like the game all that much.

And you sound as if you're a prick. Who knows, maybe we're both right in our assessments?

Likewise, please stop using the word "linear." I actually agree with you about everything you said about the game.

Why shouldn't I use the word linear? The game, for the most part, really did follow a linear path. You can try to mask it with the occasional side path, or choice (which ends up having no consequences other than a bandage, etc.), but this game is basically one step away from being a rail shooter. Linear is a pretty good term for a game that has a definite path, with events and an ending that aren't really influenced by choice.
