I feel like this must be pretty common, because it definitely started a bit slow for me as well but after a while I couldn't stop playing. I finished wanting more. I agree that the gameplay is repetitive, but it was balanced and they threw enough variety at you to keep things interesting. I could just never get over how beautiful the game is...I just couldn't stop looking at the game in awe. Everything from the level design to how emotive the character models are...oh man, that's the kind of game that elevates video games into a true art form.

Now I want to go replay it.

I personally loved it. If you want a character/story-driven game, you aren't going to find much better than this. It actually took me a while to warm up to it though. I think it picks up greatly from the point you're currently at.
I haven't played much over the last week but will spend some time playing this weekend. I've noticed that there is a lot of travelling around and going from building to building and sneaking etc and finding ladders and blocks to climb etc is not exactly difficult as it's easy to find your way, so none of that is innovative, but what I do like is the mood and graphics of the game they are pretty special. I've just got to the part where Tess has sacrificed herself (didn't see that coming) and they have now gone through the subway and just left the city. I like the idea of conserving your ammo, even though I've just wasted a whole load and could've sneaked instead.

Sure the characters are something special and I guess the game works as a horror, as those Clickers scare the crap out of me and I always make sure I got a couple of shivs on me now.

So far it does, but it's a very different game. Origins was more "old school", with more number crunching. Here for example you don't really develop your stats - on a lvlup, you get 1 skill point and that's it. Some skills when bought give you a stat bonus, but that's it.
The story, so far at least as I'm very very far from completing the game, seems to be just as complex and interesting.
Characters are better. Your companions are all interesting, but there are others that are well developed - as a member of the Inquisition you have several advisors, and can recruit more during your adventures and they have interesting and unique stories and quests for you.
I think I completed Origins 4 or 5 times, got all the story DLC etc and I loved it. So far Inquisition seems like a true sequel to Origins and doesn't make the same mistakes DA2 made.
The only thing that it didn't do well is... combat. Yes, combat, one of those things you do a lot in the game, is .... let's say, takes some time getting used to. Took me about 8 hours or so, but now my warrior no longer charges in random directions Good thing companion combat AI works good, this makes most fights except for boss battles and special encounters quick.
Oh, and you get to meet a lot of friends from both Origins and DA2. There is also a nifty feature I didn't use as I lost my saves, you can upload your save games from previous games to alter the state of the world. I'm playing on default and for example Alistair is the king of Ferelden - I don't really know how far the changes go though, how many are simply cosmetic and how many really change the quests.

Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker HD

Holy **** this game is good. I remember loving the heck out of the original on the Gamecube. I think at that time, I had played through all 3 save files, and still wanted to beat the game more times. I love everything about this game, so the release of an HD version just got me interested right away, and man does it live up to my expectations. Compared to the Gamecube version, this version is so much more beautiful and lively. Most definitely one of the best games i'll be spending time on.

I started playing Civilization V again, as Attila the Hun. Already conquered Persia, currently bombing Sweden back to the stone age. And things started off so peacefully...

I've been really wanting this, but I'm kind of holding off on new Zelda until Zelda Wii U which so far looks completely amazing.

I've kind of been fangirling over it since it was announced and it only looks better than it did when it was first shown.

I'm pretty excited for an open-world Zelda game. I also think it's perfectly reasonable to get hyped up over this, because from my experience, Nintendo tends to deliver what they promise.
