You should, because it's actually pretty great. People tend to exaggerate the difficulty (which tends to be the only reason it gets hate aside from simply having different gameplay) IMO, as, aside from Death Mountain and the end, it really isn't that much harder than a lot of other NES games (and it sure as hell has aged a lot better than most of them as well, including the first game).

All old school games are way harder than modern games. They didn't cater to the masses back then.

I was more just using the worst Zelda game possible as a reference to how lucky people have it that Zelda 2 isn't as bad as people claim it is. basically I was saying that Zelda 2 could have easily been Zelda on CD-i. I don't know what i'm saying anymore actually.
