Double post FTW.
Out of curiosity. I borrowed Dark Souls 2 to see if I it was better than the first, and wow, I think I might hate it more than the first. Might as well retitle both as, "How to die over and over and over and over because you don't know how to perform this move that is never explained in the game." Playing either of those games reminds me of playing capture the flag in Halo and not knowing you're supposed to capture the enemy's flag. Both teams will endlessly kill each other. Also I love the regressive/shrinking health system in the second one. I didn't even actually notice that when I was first playing it, probably because I died far too quickly for a difference in health to even matter. I'd rather play Zelda II than this. |

I haven't played Dark Souls but i played Demon souls and its difficulty was the best thing about the game.
It's hard but not impossible to beat and once you do it's rewarding unlike Zelda 2 which is just hard. And honestly even Zelda 2 is not that hard, ppl exaggerate its difficulty.

Seconded. I tend to get some strange looks whenever I mention that it's my favorite 2D Zelda game (sorry, A Link to the Past never really clicked for me that much), and one of the reasons why is because people were turned off by the supposed difficulty. Aside from Death Mountain and some moments near the end, I personally didn't think that it was that hard (certainly not that much harder than a lot of other NES games).

You don't have to do the game that way, if you're familiar enough with the animation you could parry your way through it with relative ease but working to get behind everyone as they attack just makes things easier. |

i had to pass the controller to that one friend who could beat him Imo We need more difficult games like Dark souls or P.T cause games are too easy nowadays and that makes them forgettable. I remember the buzz around Demon souls was that it was too hard and i found it refreshing to hear that cause you don't hear that about alot games nowadays. The popularity of the franchise makes it apparent now alot of gamers like hard games like that just as long as they're not impossible to pass and the gameplay isn't broken.
