I won't ban anyone for not playing NV, eternal damnation of their immortal souls is punishment enough and I know from a reputable source, that's what happens if you haven't played it.
Skyrim is a great game, for what it is - a sandbox and not much more. Sure there are tons of quests, locations and whatnot ... but how many of them will you remember after a while ? How does the world change thank to your actions ? (it doesn't, really) And now think of F:NV. It's smaller, doesn't nearly have as many quests, there is no crafting (yes, there is survival crafting and ammo making, but you can't create and upgrade a weapon or armor from scratch, etc) and the game is at times butt ugly.
But then you get to visit places like Vault 34 and learn its history (I really don't want to spoil anything), you get to meet mr House and witness the empire he's created, after several run ins with the legion you start to genuinely hate them etc. You get to make choices, for example a small town is one sheriff short, after a bandit raid. If you want you can help them out and find a new one, and you can do it right away.. but if you ask around and seek alternative options, depending on what you choose the fate of this town changes in the end. This is a true "role playing" game, not an action/exploration sandbox with stats (skyrim).
Oh, and Dragon Age was actually very cool. I hope the coming 3rd part is more like DA than DA2, which was a mess and for every thing it did right, it messed up 2 others.

I'd agree with a lot of what you say about NV vs Skyrim, and would add that however much fun the combat in Skyrim is, it's not as up to snuff as NV, but the variety of environments adds a lot of depth to exploration that NV just doesn't have. I spend far more time just going places in Skyrim, and getting sidetracked by a mountain I want to climb, or a waterfall I want to go down. The towns and cities are also superior, and make the day-to-day elements of the game more immersive than NV, even if the storyline is comparatively less interesting.

Not to mention it has better graphics and alot more land to explore and also a better Lvl up system. NV has the perks though which i actually like but in Skyrim lvl up feels more organic, the more you use a skill the better you get at it.

i agree with Yac that in NV your choices matter more in Skyrim your personal choices mostly affect just your character not the world itself or the story.

I've finally been giving 360's Fable 2 a thorough go. Honestly, I never could get into this one. I think the beginning scenes just didn't appeal to me. Its starting to grow on me though, just finished the Knothole quest.

Also think I'll replay all dragon age soon, Inquisition out end of November! Yay! My favorite 360 series.

I agree with Francis, I like the level up system a lot more in Skyrim because your proficient use of something produces results, as opposed gaining overall experience points that you can put towards skills and perks later.

I wish you guys would get off your consoles and play computer games with me. Your always on your computers to post on MB you have no excuse!

^ I have a hand me down desktop that barely runs plug. That's my excuse. But once I can afford a laptop I sure will duder.
