I've watched people play this on Twitch stream and it looks like a lot of fun. Kind of reminded me of Zelda the way the maps are laid out.

It's very well made. The more you play it, the more difficult it gets. Plus the OST is fantastic.

I heard about Rebirth and figured i'd start playing this again. Boy have I missed playing this.

YESSSSSSSSSSS

I love this game. Unfortunately it gets super laggy for me sometimes but it is tons of fun. And it's hard. I still haven't gotten passed Sheol.

The very first Tales of game in the long running series that sort of let me down. I did not like that there was essentially no world map, like all the other Tales of games had. Something I always enjoy doing in any RPG, JRPG...is exploring the world map.

That wasn't the only thing I didn't like about Tales of Xillia, though. A lot of the dialogue seemed dry. The characters could have been better too. I did like some of them. Overall. I think the game could have been a lot better. I understand that the developers were trying new things. Just in my opinion, those things did not work.

Just to note. I did play through around %85 of the game before finalizing my verdict that it was mediocre at best. I haven't given Tales of Xillia 2 a try yet. Not really sure I want to.

I'm only about an hour into it and it's my first Tales of game. Does it end up opening up more later on. Right now it just feels like the same corridor style that FFXIII had in the beginning. Oh yes the map thing bugged me as well. I wanted to remembered where I was heading and kept trying to pull up a map but couldn't. I have the second one also but I want to finish this one up. I like some of the dialogue. It gives me chuckles every now and then.

I didn't care for the story much but the gameplay was fine imo. My favorite power had to be Video when that came along.

What I mean by a world map, is being able to go outside of a town or dungeon, and traverse the terrain of the world itself; reference a game like Final Fantasy 7 where you traveled the various continents by foot, boat, or an airship...

I didn't like how for the entire duration of the game, it was just going from one part of the map, to the next connecting area. It is more or less like one massive dungeon map that you traverse. And it is extremely linear, there's limited exploration, you follow one direct path, what little other parts you could branch off and explore did little to make up for the lack of exploration or options you had to look around. I played pretty much the entire game to see if things changed. They don't. Tales of games aren't meant to be these boxed in experiences. They're meant to be open, widely able to explore. Tales of Xillia just did not satisfy me. It disappointed me.

But to answer your question. No. It doesn't really open up at all. You should get used to traversing the same paths you already have, for the entire game. You're free to go back and look around in the areas you already have been to. But that is pretty much it. I saw that you have the second Tales of Xillia, I haven't played that one. I'm talking about the first Tales of Xillia. I didn't bother with the sequel.

I recommend checking out older Tales of titles like Tales of Graces, Tales of Vesperia, Tales of Symphonia, Tales of Legendia, Tales of Phantasia, Tales of Eternia, and the original Tales Of Destiny, and Tales of Destiny 2. All of those games are great.

You Have To Win This Game

This game is so fking cool. The graphics are amazing and the gameplay can be difficult at times. It's a short-ish game but the replay value is pretty fantastic.

Outlast

I played this for a while until I got stuck and didn't feel like playing. I finally got past the part that I was stuck at and holy hell this game just gets more terrifying. The atmosphere and having to listen to people walking around while only being able to hear footsteps, or something they are holding shaking around is so stressful. Jump scares are a thing too and it scares me ****less. Honestly, a very well made game and i'm excited to complete it. I'm also excited to play the DLC.

Finally got this to work on my computer, bethesda can be real dicks when it comes to making sure their games actually work. I mean, you're selling it on the steam store, but refuse to update it or patch it to work on multicore systems? Talk about lazy and greedy.

A lot of games from Steam are like that. Knights of the Old Republic 2 didn't work on my computer until I did some changes in the files. I wish Steam wouldn't sell games that don't work or need patches, and if they needed patches, they'd provide them with the game.

Yeah, there was some weird audio sync issues going on with KOTOR2 if I remember. I thought that was just in the cutscenes though, but I can't remember if they carried on into the gameplay. Fallout 3 flat out refused to work until I downloaded files, changed multiple lines of text in the .ini, and was just an annoying headache to get working.

Im currently playing Fire emblem: the Sacred stones.

Im luving this game apart from the pokemon games this is one of the few portable games i can spend just hrs grinding, the other day i spend all day just grinding on a single stage that had an arena now all my characters are LvL 15 but all the enemies are around LvL 7 or 8

grinding in this game is kinda like a survival trait cause if a character dies he's dead forever and i ain't gonna lose ANYBODY on my team!
