Since we are talking about FF games, am i the only one here who really enjoyed Blitzball in FF10?

the one thing that was annoying as hell though was powering up your summons by continuously tapping a button. First time you do it it's pretty neat but by the third time of doing it you're already sick of it.

FF8 and its story was pretty much of love and triumph. But I always thought that considering the time it was when the game came out. It did a good job and putting its own spin on a love story, filled with loss, pain, finding ones identity or purpose in life. As for powering up summons? I actually had fun seeing if I could get each one to the max power boost. Eden was so damn over powered, haha I straight up annihilated things with that summon. My favorite Final Fantasy, is Final Fantasy 7. But that isn't likely to be surprising. |

I just loaded up my copy of FFV, which I probably haven't touched in a few years, and I'm currently at the Ronka Ruins, which is still in the first world and may not even be a third of the way through the game. I've put in seventy-four hours and all of my characters are level 52. Eat it.

At the time the game had great cut scenes but the story is just awful, i remember playing it and being confused as hell, was Ultimecia their kindergarten teacher turned evil? oh wait, that wasn't Ultimecia that was another Ultimecia oh and here is Laguna so add his set of bullsh*t to an already convoluted story. And to top that off the game starts to pick up in Disc 3! so not only is the story convoluted, is also too damn long.

Damn, you guys really do grind. Like I said, I enjoy a good challenge so I will readily face bosses and head into challenging areas when I am under-levelled.
My personal favorite is FFVI... that story gets me every time. Favorite battle system is X... I love having all the time in the world to decide what I want to do. FFXII is also highly underrated.

That was one of my favorite things about Secret of Mana also. As weapons leveled per character you had the option to do charge attacks that got longer with every level. The whip and boomerang(?) were always my favorite. I'm sure it wasn't nearly as advanced as FFXII but it was very fun for me as a child.

Spoiler for ending of kotor2:
On another topic entirely, have you guys heard? They're releasing Fable Anniversaries for PC through Steam. I'm really excited as I was a humongous fan of the first Fable release. And it will always hold a special place in my heart. Already pre-ordered it and can't wait until it's released. |

Final Fantasy 7. The very first area when you get off the train, gather the potions from the dead guards. Before I even go to the room with the bridge to meet Barrett, I am without fail, at level 20 or higher. I have Clouds 1st Limit Level on the second tier of his Limit Break sets, every play through. By the time I reach Shinra Tower. My party is pushing level 40. All of this is very time consuming, especially considering not even being out of Midgar. I have materia sets mastered, powerful magic all around, every Limit Break tier learned for Cloud and my party, save for Clouds Omnislash, Tifa's Final Heaven, Barrett's Catastrophe, Aeris and her Great Gospel. Of course, characters like Red XIII, Vincet, Yuffie, Cid won't be where the initial characters you get in Midgar level wise. However. Soon as I leave Midgar, I get Red XIII in my party and start leveling him too... By the way. I have Cloud and his weapon Hard Edge before I'm out of Midgar too. You steal from the flying soldiers on the tower where it's revealed that Aeris is taken. My stats are epic man. Trust me. My current FF7 save file, I've logged over 500 hours of gameplay. No joke. |
