Kefka was one of those bosses that I just kept my defensive high. I tried to let my party fall below a certain amount of HP throughout the fight. It's good to grind and level your characters as much as you can, that will help as far as giving yourself a stronger defense. Some bosses are more about taking it slow as apposed to flying out the gate with guns blazing. I recommend making heavy use of Viva in Final Fantasy 9. He's a pretty valuable character. I never encountered anything really that challenging in that game though. Probably because of my grinding habit. Haha, the junction system in FF8 confuses you? Man. That thing can be your secret weapon if you know how to utilize it correctly. You can boost defense, attack power, magic defense, infuse your attack with magic effects, it's a blessing man. There's several ways to build your characters with the junction system that gives you huge advantages over most bosses or enemy encounters in general. Certain magic will grant you magic defense bonuses almost to the point of being immune, absorbing too. You need to toy around with it, you'll gradually find out ways to make it work for you. @ The Batlord Come at me, bro. I bet I am more of a grind master than you are. |

i like grinding too which is why ive never had much problems passing FF games.
The main bosses on the storyline on FF are not usually very hard their side quest bosses though could be very hard if you don't know what you're doing.

i don't remember well but there is small island in the game with a couple of draw points with really powerful magic. Same with FF6 there is small forest on an island where there are dinosaur monsters that give out alot of exp so you can easily grind up to LvL 99.

The Omega Weapon in FF8 in the last dungeon where you go to fight Ultimecia is harder than any boss in the entire game. But even fighting him, I didn't really struggle. I owned that mofo. |

Don't know about grinding for days, but in pokemon I evolve my starter pokemon in the first patch of grass before I even see another trainer. 16 levels for some of the starters.
Anyway, the problem with final fantasy is that if your attack isn't effective against that type of enemy, it does 1 damage. FREAKING 1. I'm not asking for it to even be half as effective, but if cecil is a level 23 dark knight and he attacks a level 6 zombie, I expect him to kill it regardless that it's dark vs. undead. You're honestly telling me he's incapable of killing it? That's fan-****ing tastic. What the hell am I supposed to do with Cecil? Just have him in perpetual guard?? Also love how running away makes you lose money. This game is a trollfest. Last edited by Wpnfire; 08-29-2014 at 03:47 PM. |
