Splatoon's gameplay looked fun as hell but it still isn't enough to get me to buy a Wii U.
I wasn't expecting Link to look super masculine but I just thought they were going for a change of pace and using a female character instead of Link this time around.

I'd argue if anything, link looks a little too masculine to be a Japanese animated protagonist. Might have to fem it up a little bit. |

Dark Souls So I finally got this game to work on my PC after installing a few texture updates and editing a few .ini files. Now that it's working I can finally see why people adore this game so much. There's a major difficulty curve, but at the same time there's not really anything else quite like it. It reminds me a lot of Shadow of the Colossus with a large open world ready for you to explore from the start. The combat takes a little while getting use to but after a million billion deaths you'll learn it and the attack patterns of the enemies and start to feel like a badass for killing groups while taking no damage. Not much on the story front as everything is left to the environment and what few cut scenes and dialogue there is in this game. Definitely worth a look if you're into masochism. |

I was able to get into the Destiny Alpha and I'm enjoying it so far. Even though I'm not really a big fan of FPS games. I may have to make an exception for this one. I love the sci-fi artwork that it has and how it's wrapped up with some RPG elements. One drawback but it isn't that big of a deal seeing as how it's important to the gameplay is that you have to always be online. The reason for that is because they seemless drop players into your game so you can squad up with them if you want to take on different missions. In the alpha there are only three classes available, Titan, Hunter and Warlock. I went with Warlock because the other two seemed boring imo.
They have a 6v6 PVP map available as well to try out but I haven't touched PVP yet so I can't give too much feedback on that but I did decide to watch someone else's stream through my ps4 of them doing PVP and I guess there are vehicles available and you can get inside them to pvp with. You can also mount up and head into battle along with using a jetpack to help jump around similiar to Halo. The PVP has some MMO elements when you win you get points that have a weekly cap so that you can buy gear from a pvp vendor.
