Omfg yes! The type of missions where the person you are protecting stays in one place while dozens of waves come at you are annoying too.

Which they almost never are as they are usually just filler missions.

Wasteland 2 InXile Entertainment released their beta yesterday to people who backed the game on Kickstarter or who bought the $20 add-on beta access. Despite being in beta the game runs very well, with only a few minor visual glitches here and there. The game is a bit of a resources hog, but despite that my PC can run it at max with a pretty constant 40 FPS, which I'm expecting to go up upon release when the game is properly optimized. For the uninitiated, it's a tactical turn-based RPG set in the aftermath of a nuclear apocalypse. The original Fallout game was a spiritual successor to the 1988 game Wasteland, and had to become that franchise because of copyright issues due to EA being dickheads (shocking, I know). So if you played the original Fallout games or any of the other tactical RPGs then you're really going to like this game because it really does feel like what those games would become with a fresh coat of paint and some updated mechanics. It's not quite as deep as say X-COM: Enemy Unknown, but for a project that was completely funded by Kickstarter, it's a shining example of what that service can provide. Oh I also thought I should mention that if you never played the original Fallout series but are interested, GOG.com is giving away Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout: Tactics for free. |

I played through Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons last weekend and holy sheet what a brilliant game. It definitely evoked alot of emotion, especially for a game that didnt haven any actual dialogue. I really liked the puzzles and the game looked really beautiful. Probably my game of 2013
