I haven't played Revelations yet but I really want to. I might look for a used copy of it next week. My favorites has to be 1, 2 and 6. I haven't played 4 or 5 though but 4 introduced those quick time events that are all the rage in 5 and 6 so I don't know how I feel about that.

I'd put the games in the following order: 3, 2, CV, 4, 1, 0 and 5. RES 2 was the first game I ever played of series and was on two disks and fell in love with the series from there, then I got 3 which I still think is the very best because of its intensity. But the one that blew me away was Code Veronica graphically and was on the Dreamcast back in 00 and it was a looooooong game back then. In hindsight its not the best but was the most spectacular for its time! The Gamecube then re-did RES 1 and then did RES 0 and played them both. RES 4 was originally on the GC and was a classic game and where the style changed and moved away from the traditional zombies and the first half of the game in the countryside and village is pretty amazing and the QTE were great, the best since Shenmue, the game was slightly let down by its second part as they moved into the castle. RES 5 was just glossy and looked great but was the poorest to date. Most reviews slate RES 6 and at the moment I prefer it to 5. Also the Outbreak games were great as well and were on the Playstation and took place at the same time as RES 2 and 3.

I played through it so many times on one file I built up enough magnum ammo for my Killer 7 to play though the entire game with. That was a lot of fun, I wish it was on steam so I could buy it again. =(

So so good. I remember playing co-op in Secret of Mana.

DOTA 2 I've always wanted to get into MOBAs (Multiplayer online battle arena) but there's such a steep learning curve and it's one of those niche genres where it seems like anyone who plays it has been doing so since that Starcraft map Aeons of Strife. I've played a couple of matches and lost every single one which earned nothing but scorn from my team mates. I felt like I had a handle on this during the tutorials but it's like the difficulty curve is a straight line once it lets you out the gate. I think I'll just wait for Blizzard's Heroes of the Storm, which is being designed for idiots like me. |
