So, The Last of Us, v. Bioshock:Infinite; which is better, in your opinion?
I'll say that Bioshock had fun gameplay in addition to beautiful graphics and story. TLoU may have tried too hard to appeal to next gen on current gen, if that makes any sense. I've had a hell of a lot more fun playing Infinite, because of the enhanced vigors and storyline, to be quite honest. I think The Last of us played to our audience well, but the advanced AI is kind of a newer concept and made the gameplay kind of tedious. |

Moderator cut: image removed Run of the mill adventure RPG I borrowed from a friend that I'm only really playing cause I wanted something to scratch that Darksiders 2 itch since I finished the aforementioned game. Characters are barely there and nothing to write home about, plus the story seems really rushed and kind of unimportant. I like the real time combat and how you each of the four characters has a special skill that can be used outside of combat, but there's this weird delay when you do melee attacks and this combo system that you have to completely concentrate on to do right, making you more vulnerable to enemy attacks(it may just be that my controller's old, it is an original Xbox game after all). It does have those RPG tropes I love though(upgrading skills, breaking containers to find items money, etc) so it does scratch that itch. So yeah, not bad but not really great either |
But Maxim magazine gave it 5 stars and everyone knows they're the foremost authority on the subject of video games about characters in skimpy outfits and large breasts

Bioshock's story was so ambitious that you have to give the nod to it. However, the character development in The Last of Us is as good as you're going to see in a video game, and it made the story work a lot better because of that, particularly from the end of Fall to the end of the game. Interesting how both games had similar characters and relationship dynamics, with a no-nonsense older male lead and a young but mature female lead. I just thought TLoU did a near perfect job with it, where as BI was just OK in that regard. |
I need to stop buying games and finish the ones that I've started but I bought Deadpool today.

Call of duty black ops 1
I tried to get into black ops 2 but it was just pissing me off way too much. The maps are way too small, all the corners have been rounded (seriously, just stacks of **** in every corner for some reason)the knives have been nerf'd. Its really confounding to be right next to someone knife them and inexplicably miss for some reason. Nobody seems to get long killstreaks nor have an especially high k/d ratio. The game is certainly more casual friendly but killing loads of people before inevitably getting shot yourself was always the appeal of COD for me. Now I was relieved if i could manage to shoot one guy before I died. Anyhow, black ops 1 is still a pretty fun game I don't know how i never noticed it before but it runs on a dated call of duty 4 engine which is strange seeing as how the updated tech for modern warfare 2 had already came out. |
I'm trying to kick a World of Warcraft addiction.
I was playing Skyrim but my game glitched and I couldn't finish the DLC questlines :( |
I tried to remind myself what a waste of time it all was when I played it near the end. No interest since I stopped.

These negative images associated with MMOs need to be put to a stop. It's not really that bad. |
