I'm waiting for the store to open up to pick up my copy of The Last of Us. I forgot to reserve it so I have to be their at opening time.

I'm only a couple hours in to The Last of Us (but that's with exploring pretty much everything thoroughly) and it's been just OK so far, to be honest. Everything looks exactly the same. I know that's kind of the point, but this game might get really boring really fast. Maybe once I'm out of Boston that will change though.
I've already noticed some big problems with enemy AI (they don't seem to detect the people you're with and they'll forget where you are if you quickly run away from them in blind sight and then hide), and zombies are WAY harder to kill then regular people. I can fly through dealing with a bunch of soldiers with guns but am having a lot of difficulty with zombies, particularly the clickers. That might be the point though. I dunno though, it hasn't been bad so far, maybe just a bit disappointing. I'm sure that could all change quickly though. |

So I have a working 3DS with Animal Crossing now. If anyone else has it and wants to start up a lucrative fruit industry with me I'll gladly come and visit your towns once I work out the 3DS's weird wi-fi features.

I spoke too soon on The Last of Us. Turned out to be one of the better single player games I've ever played. Sort of cliche story but they did such a good job with character development that it all came together really well. There were still some major problems with enemy AI but it didn't really take away much from the overall experience. There were also a ton of different environments, so everything didn't look the same.
