Please, it's time spent in the real world that's the waste.

I've spent the past week or so burning through Bioshock Infinite. Absolutely fantastic on so many levels that I can hardly believe it actually exists. It more than lives up to the standards of the -shock title and has some of the deepest and most compelling plot and character development I've seen since... Well, since the original Bioshock. Unless you're one of those idiots that doesn't want any actual substance in their games you should play this asap.

I finally beat FFXIII-2! It pulled a classic "game is really easy until the end where we throw 10 hard as hell bosses at you" so I had to grind, but I can finally lock that one away. The ending totally set you up for a third one, so I don't know why people are surprised they are making one. I actually thought the story picked up towards the end as well, so I have a much better impression of the game now.

I actually bought Doom 3 BFG edition for 5 bucks and now that I don't have to put away my gun to pull out my flashlight, the game is a lot more fun than I remember. It also comes with Doom and Doom 2... They are 20 years old and still pretty fun.

Did you never download the duct tape mod when you played the original Doom 3?

I just saw that Metro: Last Light came out, so I want to actually beat this game before I go onto that one. I originally played it on my Xbox 360, but there were some pretty fatal bugs on that version of the game, which largely contributed to its low review scores. I got the game on PC a few months ago for liking it on Facebook but my PC at the time couldn't run it. Now that I've upgraded I can finally give it a shot with the added bonus of finding patches to fix the problems.

Nah... I'm of the opinion that the way you get the game is the way it was meant to be played. The flashlight was an added challenge and I could see clearly why they did it... They were very proud of their lighting effects. It did produce some scary moments and I made it halfway through the game but then I just kinda... stopped. I'm playing it now and it's a solid shooter.

my exact thoughts when I played it. by the way, the ending is just mindblowing, probably one of the best endings I've ever seen in anything, really.

Anyone else fans of the Metal Gear series? Ah man I love those games... I think they get better with each one. The only one I haven't played is Portable Ops, but I think I'll live. I've been messing around with my Mother Base in Peace Walker this weekend... ****'s addictive. I can't wait for V to come out, though I'm a bit bummed David Hayter won't be the voice of Snake anymore.

Managed to make myself semi-addicted to Anarchy Online again. It'll soon be 12 years since its release, but it still is the most interesting MMORPG I ever played.

Completely unique game and there will never be another like it.

Beat Metro 2033 last night and now I'm debating between Tomb Raider and The Darkness 2, both of which are on sale right now from GreenManGaming.
