The in game assets is definitely becoming more frequent in games now unfortunately, it is distracting but it doesn't bother me to much. Its not really an open world, there are side quests but you don't have to do them.

The gameplay is the best its ever been, and if you're a fan of the series Id def say give it a rental at least to see if you like it.

Of all the reading i've been doing the lowest price i've heard was $700. I'd love for it to be in the 300 price range but I don't trust Sony to lowball on their new prized unit. Heres hoping you're right.

I hope so too. Very few rumors I hear about the next gen are ones I'd consider good (required online connectivity, no more used games, Kinect feature built in with the system)

I may just go PC instead of consoles

Picked up Oblivion, playing it for the first time. Only about an hour in and I don't know if I'm going to be able to get the full experience after playing Skyrim, simply because it feels like I'm going backwards, but I'll keep playing through it. Also playing Minecraft, put it pisses me off that after hours of looking I can't find a single dungeon, stronghold, or nether fortress.

Oblivion should still provide some decent game play.. shutting down daedra gates and whatnot

I may be a tad biased seeing as I hate the TV show, but the game of TWD is sooo good once you get into it. Ep. 1 is, as is often the case with episodic anything, not that impressive, but the series really kicks into gear with Ep. 2. I can almost guarantee that if you have normal human emotions you will come out of this game hating yourself for certain things you chose to do, and not many other games can offer that.

On my front, I've been playing some more Skyrim because I'm legally required to pour at least 20 hours into it every month by this point. I actually bought the Dragonborn DLC but I'm so bad at sticking to one character that I'm probably never going to make use of it. I also bought Hotline Miami a while back, which is a fantastic little game that's worth the tiny asking price for the soundtrack if nothing else. And after all this time of putting it off for no particular reason I finally caved and bought Minecraft. It's pretty good fun, although I haven't managed to drag myself out of terrible building stage yet so I'm reluctant to start any projects.

I'm gonna try ep. 2 as well, but as far as feelings go, the clunkyness of the animations and design kinda prevents me from getting sad, angry or whatever. I've already had to choose twice who to save and who to let die, for instance, and it didn't exactly break my heart...

Skyrim is quite the neverending game, though, isn't it! Haha. I want to play other games as well, but Skyrim keeps sucking me in. :D

Akaneiro: Demon Hunters

A free-to-play action-rpg made by American McGee, the guy behind Alice. Basically it's like Diablo but set in a feudal Japan and with an Okami art style. I'm enjoying everything so far even if I do have to have the settings on low because of my crap laptop, but it runs noticeably better than Diablo 3 or Torchlight II. My only real gripe is the free-to-play aspect, I enjoy action-rpgs and I love this kind of art style so I'd be more than happy to throw down $20-$30 for this, but the fact that it's not even an option is kind of annoying because I don't really want to spend real money on in-game transactions, that's not what I think of when I think of video games. It's definitely worth checking out though, and as it's free there's really no excuse not to give the first few levels a go.

Just bought a 3DS and now I'm playing Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. I've already played and beaten this game 2 times, but it never gets old. The graphics on this version are dramatically improved - it no longer looks like a game released in 1998, lol.
