Thank God for Steam sales. Already bought The Walking Dead and whatever wins the Community's Choice tomorrow (either Borderlands 2, Hitman Absolution or Dishonored) will be my Christmas day game for sure. Oh, to agree with the previous post The Walking Dead is frigging amazing and I've not played anything quite like it ever. If you've always loved a good narrative but have never really seen a game pull one off as well as you feel it could have then get this. |

I got a Wii U for Xmas, and I'm loving it so far. I much prefer the 2nd player in Mario as the block deployer than having another guy getting in your way. Nintendo Land has some really fun games, but I'm not sure about their replay value(the Pikmin one has me dying for P3). The Rayman demo was good, but the touch screen mechanic didn't feel as good as Mario's.

Been playing Borderlands 2 since Christmas Day. It's absolutely fantastic. Unlike the original game which was just about serious the sequel's done a Saints Row and completely jumped the shark, making it way better. The gameplay's still nice and challenging with a little more variation than angry wildlife and Jason Vorhees, the environments are a bit more than scrapyards now, there's actually a coherent story with surprisingly good characterisation and the whole thing's consistently hilarious. Even if you didn't like the first one you might like this.

Completely agree. I don't know what it is about it but I'm already finding myself getting kind of bored with it and I've only played it a couple hours at the most. It's better than Far Cry 2, which I couldn't get through much of at all, but there's really something about this series that doesn't do something for me. The game looks great, but there's no real diversity to the environments. Going around killing people and hunting animals is fun but there doesn't seem to be much else to do. I haven't progressed through the main story much at all, but I'm not expecting there to be much diversity there either.
