Just picked up assassins creed 3. I've enjoyed it so far. The graphics are great, best of the series. The fighting controls have changed, not so sure that I really like it. But I'm loving the tomahawk, you can get some great kills with it.
They've abandoned the medicine from the previous 3 games and have gone back to the original concept of health gradually returning to its full status. I think it was a good idea, but I never really had a problem with having to buy medicine to heal myself. I'm loving the setting so far. I love running through the frontier and climbing trees. The storyline Is great. I wasnt expecting to start out as a British guy, not to mention his affiliation with a certain group. Then starting as a kid and becoming a man. It's unlike anything they've done in the previous games, other than being a young ezio. I'm satisfied with this game so far, I'm not sure how it compares to the previous ones, though. Other than the graphics being the best, by far. What do you guys think? |

I'm not familiar with Dishonored. I've always liked call of duty, especially when I had Xbox live.
One thing I really like about assassins creed is the hand to hand combat. So many games are shooters. I love being able to choose between fighting people with my hands, tomahawk, swords, knives and then a gun as a last resort. It's just a lot more interesting than shooting a gun the whole time. |

Yeah, I loved the "Let's bounce" part. Honestly, I thought some of the other GTA games were a bit overrated, but I can just tell with the trailer for this one that it'll be fantastic. And yeah, I heard that the game world is supposed to be absolutely massive.

heard there's a huge emphasis on "living the american dream", so im fully expecting you to be able to buy big ass houses and probably business (legit? criminal?).
Cannot wait for this game to come out. |

I'm excited to see where they go for this one. The idea of three playable protagonists is an... interesting one because it gives you more "behind-the-scenes" looks into other character's lives. I just hope the characters are all fleshed out and not just 1-note stereotypes, but with this being a Rockstar game I'm not expecting them to be. I do like the idea that one of the characters is a father, because it reminds me a lot of John Marsten from Red Dead Redemption and he's one of the better written characters from this console generation, at least in terms of projecting masculinity rather than some macho meat-head *******.
Definitely feels like it's going to be a great successor to San Andreas, with bombastic missions that are a little over-the-top, but in that magic sweet spot where they're cool instead of stupid. |

Dishonoured was a nice game, but far from flawless. My biggest gripe with it is that the game sorta rewards you for being nice by giving you a good ending if you use stealth more than violence, choose not to kill people and so on. But most of the special abilities you get by far are handy in combat and sneaking around gets really repetitive.
I'm currently playing Darksiders II which is also a lot of fun. It's like a blend of Brütal Legend and Zelda.
