The reviews have been pretty overwhelmingly positive, which creates a nice juxtaposition to last week's big release garnishing a lot of mediocre to bad reviews. I'm happy some new IP is being released and will definitely get it within the coming month.

It seems to get a lot of praise but I heard it was a let down from a few.

Gonna start playing Rage now. Been in my pile for a while.

i was playing Arkham City again yesterday

despite all the rave reviews, it's beginning to feel more and more like a button masher

and it's not THAT big, just made to look that way

so....... severely disappointed

That game is sick. Great pure shooter.

It is sick. Great change of pace for a shooter.

I picked up the new X-Com game last night, took all night to download from Steam but whatever. Thought about grabbing Dishonored as well but when the most common negative in reviews is that the game is short I'm expecting a price drop before Christmas.

The sense I'm getting is that Dishonored is a Bioshock/Skyrim hybrid. Is that a fair label to put on it?

And has anyone tried Resident Evil 6? It's getting some pretty terrible reviews. Sounds like they just completely turned it into an action/shooter game, which sucks.

I'm still going to get it(either rent it or wait until it goes down in price). It got some positive reviews, and even the negative reviews said it had some good set pieces.

It reminds me of code veronica a little bit, in the sense that the series just went to shit and needs a reboot again.

x-com is really fun. Seems a bit dumbed down at first compared to the prequels, but it's not really true.
PCGamer covered the game pretty well, I agree with what they claim.
87/100

As for Dishonored - unless you absolutely have to ply it now, I'd wait for the GOTY edition.
