I played Arkham Asylum and wasn't crazy on it, didn't even finish it. But quite often I get rid of games that are meant to be great and then go back and get them again, thinking of doing that with Arkham Asylum before playing Arkham City.

Do people on here think it's a great game?

Both the Batman games are some of the more memorable titles to come out the last few years for me. I think both are great.

Beating up baddies has seldom been as fun as in those games, I think.

Characters from different games all jumped in seems weird tbh.

Huh, Gamespot is usually the few big gaming websites that will suck any game's dick regardless of how many warts are on it, and then fire their reviewers when they complain about having herpes. Jim Sterling on Destructoid game it a pretty scathing review at 3/10, and even The Escapist which pretty much rewards anything a 4/5 or 8/10 gave it a pretty low review.

Off topic, anybody who has Morrowind and some decent PC specs may want to check out this, Morrowind Overhaul 3. You'll need the original game to play, but it seems to be a pretty massive update of the 2002 game. I think it's also on sale over at Steam right now, so if you haven't played it before, this may be the time to do it. Or if that doesn't strike your fancy, maybe this will

Another Morrowind Overhaul pack? Me gusta. For anyone who's not played the original game it is the best free-roamer ever released in terms of narrative and setting, and I doubt anything will ever replace it there.

While I'm busy licking games' balls, the Arkham games are some of my favourites of this gen. A particular boss fight in the second (you'll know which one if you've played them) stands out as one of the most thrilling moments I've ever experienced in a game.

Borderlands 2.
I'm surprised at how much better this game is than its predecessor, with so little fundamental changes.
Graphics are amazing, gameplay is super fun. The game lets you change your fow IN THE OPTIONS . How cool is that ?
Finally I know where I'm going and why, Bordations serlands 1 started pretty great but soon became really dull. NPCs seemed generic, loceemed too similar ... not here.
Did I mention how fun it became to run around and shoot people in the face, or stab them with a sword ? Did I mention how much the level design has improved ? No ? Well it is, and it has.
9/10 from me, though I admit I've only reached lvl 14 so far.

A part of me does want to get it, but then the part of me that took 4 years to beat the first Assassin's Creed game is going "why waste your time?" The concept was interesting, but I never really felt like a master assassin when playing any of the two games I've played, which I suppose is partly due to wearing a bright white tunic and an ungainly arsenal of weapons. I guess I was kind of expecting gameplay to be more like the Hitman or [i]Thief[/] series' that had sprawling levels that rewarded exploration and gave you multiple paths to meet your objectives. Assassin's Creed III certainly looks like it's closer to meeting that expectation, but with some added parkour moves, but I still can't help but think it's going to be much like its predecessors but with a larger environment to play in.

Anyhow I've decided to go retro this weekend (again) and try to play through The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask on my gamecube.

Anway saw it going cheap for £12 here and bought it again, hopefully I'll like it this time.

Is this the first time you've played it?
