There are several forks in the road in the story, I will get back into it to complete it again, this time not trying to be good and failing miserably, but actually being good. I wonder if there is a happy end here and I don't want to spoil the fun by going to youtube.
This game actually made me feel bad for what I've done, and i was sure that was impossible by now.
Oh, and finally - the shooting is fun and even rewarding, but rather unoriginal (except for the what, 5 or so places you can break glass and let the sand pour in) and chaotic - the same button is used to jump over cover and for a hand to hand attack - I died more than once hitting a wall instead of jumping over it... So if you plan to skip the cutscenes, don't care about the story and just want to shoot - you won't like this.
Yac.
I was looking at it at my local GameStop on Saturday, but decided to be financially responsible and save my money for things like rent and food. I do think I'm going to create a GameFly account though and try that game out first, and if I find the story compelling enough to play through multiple times, then I'll go out and buy a copy.

I've been playing a lot of NHL 13 and Madden 13 lately. I'm killing people online in NHL, but am getting pretty much destroyed in Madden.

Playing it for the 1st time, but am confident in saying it is one of the best games I've ever played. Twilight princess rips it off liberally. This is infinitely better than that skyword sword snore fest

I'm pretty well locked in on NHL 13 also, its gameplay is amazing. Played Madden only once at a friends, I didn't think it grew leaps and bounds like the NHL 13 did with regards to graphics and engine.

It really is. The new skating system took me a while to get used to, but it's so much better now that I have. It's good because you actually have to play a realistic game. I even played the older ones more "realistically" (clog the passing lanes, let them come to you on D and never over-commit, cycle the puck, etc.), but now that the skating has changed, it's so much more effective.

And you're right about Madden. Not much has changed but the new physics engine they added is really unrealistic and guys will go flying randomly. It's also WAY too easy to get picked off now, for whatever reason. Still, solid game overall though.

I agree with you on Madden, its a solid 8 rating still but they have a few glitches they could iron out for the next installment. Kind of funny to talk about a game that just came out two weeks ago, like its old hat.

NHL 13 Took me a few go throughs with the skating also, glad i'm not the only one. I always play the game the way you described. I see some people play the game with glitchy lil spin moves from behind the net and try to deke incessantly. I play it like i see it play out in person, just as you've described. It is definitely the best sports game of the year so far, looking forward to the new FIFA also.

i thought it was one of the few instances where a video game can be considered "art", along with "Shadow of the Colossus"

Playing that bad boy right now as well. I think it's slightly overrated. Very repetitive, fairly shallow game. Stunning atmosphere and character art, though

Tried out Borderlands 2 ..

I do the standard missions for crap. Then I get to a boss, some midget riding a monster, and I kill the midget alright but I still have to kill the monster and it is all over the place. I find him, I shoot it a bit but it runs off and I can't find it and have to search for it again. Meanwhile, it heals up.

While this goes on, there's an endless stream of enemies spawning on me. Really, endless amounts of enemies spawning out of doorways? Isn't that really old-fashioned and really just boring? Since the monster runs off every time I see it, all I do is fight goons until they finally down me over and over.

Boring game!
