I've been following it pretty closely ever since about 2006 but I can say with certainty that the game will be released, it's just a matter of when they feel it's ready to be that's the question.

I recently completed my first (albeit bing-like) playthough of all three Mass Effect games. I put 150 hours into it and I feel like a better man for it. I usually don't like shooters, but the story and consequence system is sublime. Also, being able to cheat as a sentinel doesn't hurt.

As for open world sandbox games I played inFamous for awhile before my PS3 got stolen and I really enjoyed it, far more than the other supervillian sandbox game Prototype, and I've heard inFamous 2 was really good. As far as shooters go... well it really depends on what you want from a game. If you're big into multiplayer then your two obvious choices are the Battlefield and Call of Duty series', but if you're into single player shooters that attempt to create a story more complex than "shoot the brown person" then you should probably check out BioShock and The Darkness 2. Other series I would recommend would be the Uncharted series because they're at least reliable for a fun popcorn kind of adventure even if there really is no challenge to them. One game I would totally say is worth your time and is pretty much the only reason why I'd buy a PS3 again is the downloadable game Journey which features some of the most beautiful artwork and sound I have ever seen in a game. |

I'm an old school gamer so i'm definitely going to get some fighting games like Street Fighter 4,Mortal Kombat 2011,Dragon Ball Raging Blast(Since I'm a huge Dbz fan) Now as for open world games i've heard from many of my friends to get Grand Theft Auto 4 and Red Dead Redemption..(those were the games i was recommended the most in this genre of games) For shooter games I was interested in Bioshock(1&2) & Golden Eye 007(the ps3 remake of the nintendo 64 game) Have you played those or have them? |

I've had more than a few people tell me GTA4 got boring while playing through the single player mode. It really all depends on the environment you like, you like modern urban tough guy gangster action, get GTA4 - you prefer wild west cowboy action, get RDR, you might also enjoy the later Assassin's Creed games as well. Where you call yourself old school you'll probably enjoy a lot of the smaller games sold through the PlayStation Network. Either use your credit card or buy prepaid cards at the store and download smaller scale titles. Hardcorps:Uprising is a straight up Konami made homage to Contra. |
