The pressure is mounting, I'm like 20 hours in now. I must admit though... hardcore is a lot more fun and satisfying. Loot seems to have more value and the auction house is more predictable and stable.

About to take on Nightmare Azmodan, but I'm scared that I'm undergeared :-/

Good luck with that. I like the idea of hardcore mode, I just hate the fact that my game lags up hard anytime I try playing in a group or happen to aggro more than 1 mob at a time :(

Yeah I have a friend who died because his internet pooped out on him for no apparent reason. When my character finally does die, I suspect I'll be taking a loooong break from Diablo.

Just started this, it's good to be back in the world of VATS and I've been needing an open world game to kill sometime before Skyrim DLC comes out, speaking of...

Skyrim fans, start your engines. New DLC comes out IN 3 DAYS Skyrim’s Dawnguard DLC Gets a Solid Release Date - Just Push Start

I've almost finished Fallout Vegas (I think) I certainly prefer it to the previous Fallout 3, overall I'm not a huge fan of the series but have enjoyed it, there are a lot of interesting factions in the game.

Yer I heard the was some of kind of Skyrim coming out soon.

I did every quest possible in new vegas before they got cut off due to faction allegiance.

The partners and weapons are a lot funner, and i liked how the super mutants were smart and not raving lunatics like f3. Only gripe was with how flat the world was.

I downloaded the first one on good old games for 5$ but its way too hard

I didn't think the world was that big, maybe I just got spoilt on Skyrim.

one of those games that has randomly generated rooms and enemies that gets increasingly difficult the farther you go a la The Binding of Isaac. some good fun really

It takes a while to get into it but it's worth it once you figure out the nuances of combat. I'd actually suggest playing Fallout2 before the original, it's a bit more forgiving and you can even customize your allies to an extent.

If you roll a high agility / perception character with the intent of sniping later on you're going to have a hell of a time during the start of either games. Some sort of melee skill is practically required.

I've played through Fallout twice without going melee so I wouldn't call it a requirement. There are a lot of good small guns.

But yeah, it does get a bit difficult sometimes. Just reload that savegame and hope you get a crit next time. ;)

edit :

Twice through Fallout 2 as well actually - without melee!
