They're the ones working on Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance, and I don't think it could be in better hands.

That explains why the pacing and level design remind me of a action/fighter game. When i had a wii i always wanted to check out madworld.

I hope vanquish sold okay, it's always a bummer to see a game with production values this high tank, a la enslaved.

i don't blame you. the entire series is ground to dust by now

GTA IV is to thank for that one, San Andreas was a flawless game IMO.

Anyways I just finished RDR and the zombies DLC and have been playing Mass Effect the last couple days. It's a great game so far, but my god is there a lot of talking. Sometimes I just want to scream at the characters to stfu, the only reason I bother with it sometimes is it grants you XP.

I'm all for a good story in video games, but the talking in this game is more technical jargon, and I've found it very hard to keep up with all the different species and their unique traits. Meh, I don't know, I've always preferred cutscenes to 'interactive dialogue'.

Though this is my experience from the hours I spent on the Citadel level. I heard there's a lot less talking after you're made a spectre and stuff.

Mass Effect doesn't do anything for me either.

It should also be noted that I'll often pick a dialogue option that appeals to me, and Sheppard will then say something completely different from what I expected and wanted him to say.

So far I still prefer KOTOR.

I wouldn't say I'm an avid gamer or anything but I play them when I have time. I guess I'm a part of what's sort of the first video game generation. So I grew up with the Atari 2600 and the NES.

I started with NES somewhere between 2-5yo. I always played TMNT and Mario 3 with my neighbor. We also had Duck Hunt and that Track & Field game with a pad. My Dad was always tech savvy, and he chose wisely!

I had to push myself to complete mass effect 2. It's a corridor shooter throughout the whole game with stale animations. Its a rich narrative, with great presentation, just didnt have that much fun playing it.

The people that are really into it love the story elements. I think video games have a long ways to go in that area. The first area that needs fixing: Lip-Syncing.

Did you play the first one? Opinions on 1?

Never played it, which may be why i don't care for 2 as much. Ill probably play through mass effect 3 at some point since its on ps3 and thats the one i got.
