Many aspects, including dialogues, are polished and so I thought I'd give it a try. I have to say the game has aged though and I'm not positive I'm going to find the motivation to play through it.

Even if you started with the Enhanced Edition the original Witcher was hard to get into and had a rather steep learning curve for its style, especially the combat. Though the different combat stances and techniques were rather cool once you got used to it. Then you had to deal with the fact that the first few chapters of the game seem to drag on forever and it becomes really easy to lose track and focus on what's going on due to too many overlapping shades of grey.
The Enhanced Edition for The Witcher 2 is supposed to be released next month as well, if you want to try adventuring with Geralt within a more typical RPG game. The scope is more focused and the combat has been revamped to a more typical streamlined method.

Not all hats are worth $$$. Especially if you just have a bunch of common pieces. Apparently the earbuds and whatever Bill's Hat is are where the money is at.
Come to think of it... with almost 300 hours in the game the ONLY hats I've ever gotten from drops are from holiday events.
