I spent a LOT of time playing this one on my aunt and uncle's C-64 back in the day. It was got pretty awesome near the end once you had some upgrades. Looking back it was a surprisingly deep game considering what was presented.

Another one I'd strongly recommend is Archon. It's like a medieval fantasy twist on combat chess. You play turns on a board laid out like the classic but when it comes time to capture pieces the game switched to a combat mode where you have direct control over your unit and fight to the death. If I remember correctly you didn't heal between combat so you could do something foolish like send 3 pawns after a 'bishop' to eventually beat it. Each side had unique back line units as well.

Also - MULE. If you're not familiar with this one get familiar with it. It's widely considered one of the most significant and satisfying strategy games ever created, especially if you've got a few retrogaming friends who enjoy classic multiplayer action.

Going back to the SNES did either of you play Ogre Battle?

Iridium, Iridis Alpha, Revenge of the Mutant Camels, Championship Wrestling, just to name a few more other good C64 games

Just finished getting the last achievement in Soul Calibur IV in anticipation for SCV. I can't wait!

Also, played the new maps in Gears of War 3 (they're awesome) and played through the Genkibowl DLC for Saints Row (it wasn't very long :()

I played the Kingdoms of Amular: Reckoning Demo and it was pretty awesome.
I also played The Darkness 2 demo, and I have to say, I love the new art style.

I'm guessing you're an achievement hunter? I've become a bit of one lately, think it has to do with my OCD to completely finish a game before I put it away. They're fun but can be frustrating as hell, especially multiplayer related ones.

I've been playing a whole lot of Battlefield 3 and Super Mario Galaxy. I think BF3 might be the greatest shooter ever made to date. Sniping is primarily what's drawn me back in. It's one of the harder classes to play as, but there's nothing more satisfying than headshotting an enemy from all the way across the map (my record is 459 meters). As for Super Mario Galaxy, it's awesome. It feels pretty much like Super Mario 64 just with way crazier level design. It's a nice contrast, when I get tired of capping n00bs, I just go ground pound some goombas.

Finished Skyward Sword. Unfortunately it is probably the worst zelda ever, these game reviewers have been pissing me off lately.

The sidequests are a joke, i don't give a **** about gratitude crystals. Go give this guy stamina potions 3 times and listen to him talk +5 GRATITUDE CRYSTALS

The worlds all feel extremely limited. They're not poorly designed, but it lacks the wonder and surprise of previous titles, they're never is a wall your going to bomb down and find a random cave or anything for example.

Even the minigames suck ass, you couldn't have a target arrow shooty minigame?
The dungeons were perfect, and i liked how they never got egregiously complicated like some of the other dungeons in the series history, but when your coolest new item is a slow ass flying grapple hook they'res something wrong.

Im 89% sure this game isn't as good as i wanted it to be

I'm shocked to hear this, as a big Zelda fan I'm saving this up to play in the next couple of months.
