Music Banter - What Game Are You Playing Right Now?

was playing the Taito Legends arcade comp on the PS2

spent a lot of time on Super Fox (Rambo-type side-scrolling shoot-'em up) and Colony 7 (a faster Missile Command), Return of the Space Invaders (not a very good revamp, unlike Majestic 7) and Plump-Pop (Breakout variant).

i'm still stuck on a PS2, so i'm a generation behind - yes, i do like some newer games - Final Fantasy VII onwards is a firm fave, though XIII kinda sucks donkey ass

i like the Call of Duty series and also the Elder Scrolls games, though I haven't played Skyrim

those old arcade games just remind me of my youth, in dingy arcades full of cigarette smoke, Chinese gangsters and chicks looking for "bad" boyfriends (arcades were 18+ only somehow when i was young - i usually sneak in when no one's looking)

i play a lot of SNES/Genesis games myself

SNES - current faves are Earthbound : The War Agianst Giygas and Chrono Trigger

Megadrive/Genesis - i've been playing a lot of Altered Beast and Comix Zone lately, also Vectorman 1 and 2 - great stuff

and also Megaman Xs 1 - 7

I've been playing fat princess, a cross between AOE and worms (sorta). It's undoubtedly one of the most fun games you can play local co-op from PSN, the online is hosted though so games get cut off every now and then :(

One of my favourite C64 titles is Bruce Lee :)

Unlike many other titles, it wasn't ridiculously hard to the point where one could never complete it. Also, the controls and gameplay were pretty much spot on whereas many other games had really clunky manouverability.

So yeah, that's it in general. Movement and usually one, sometimes two action keys.

Just realized the joystick I posted has lots of buttons :p: The ones me and my mates used didn't!

Hmm .. Ghostbusters, Kokotoni Wilf, Marble Madness or Spin Dizzy (similar games), Mission Impossible, Commando, Spy vs. Spy, Dino Eggs, Last Ninja 1 and 2, Spy Hunter, Burnin' Rubber, Bubble Bobble, Flimbo's Quest, International Karate + and Trapdoor are some games that I liked.

There are already C64 emulators out there, possibly some for handheld devices as well.
