The original Bioshock, a bit baffled by it thus far, buttons are far too responsive as well.

Stick with it, the single player is probably the best I've ever played for an FPS.

Really? I always thought of Bioshock (both 1 and 2) as having a setting that was more interesting than the actual gameplay which I felt was a little flawed. It's hard to put my finger on what the exact problem was, but I guess it was little things in aiming and how you and enemies move etc. It just didn't "feel" brilliant to me. Still excellent games, mind you!

.. But I think of Half-Life 2 f.ex as a better game and a better single player experience, especially if you also count Episode 2. It has an awesome setting and the gameplay was just brilliant. And this game (not counting episodes) is now 7+ years old!

My idea of best focused more on the setting, mood, and story of the game (this one especially being something that most FPS's lack) rather than the gameplay, so I stand by my pick. :thumb:

I won't argue that the gameplay isn't quite 'brilliant' but then again I've never found an FPS's gameplay to be that brilliant. Guess I'm just not a big FPS fan.

Also, for a gaming PC you really don't need that much $, unless you want something ridiculous. I spent around 2k$ on my rig, but it is ridiculous. For something that will fulfill all your gaming needs, if you're not tech savvy enough, check out the PC Gamer Rig articles. This should give you a rough idea of what you should be aiming at.

Yac, I didn't know you played BF3.

I doubt we could play well on the same server, due to the pings involved, but still.
I haven't played since Skyrim came out, but once B2K drops I'll be back on it for sure.

Oh, and RVCA, we need to do some co-op sometime. I still haven't even played it.

The set pieces in the second half of the game are absolutely incredibly. I had so much playing it, and it looks beautiful.

Yeah, some pretty crazy set pieces for sure. I hope they add some mysticism soon, like some supernatural beasts or something, i'm sure they will since it's uncharted but im on chapter 19 and nothing of the sort yet.

The sinking ship was pretty cool but i still think the overall gameplay is still far too linear and riggid for my enjoyment bruh. Like there are instances where the situation is so much more difficult if i don't play it exactly how the developers envisioned. Like if i don't take cover at this spot at this moment im going to die.

Its also annoying having to play the fighting minigame while snipers are shooting at me.

Overall, this game is still an exceptional feat in game production-sound, visuals, voice acting etc, but lacks a sense of reward and progression. It would have been nice to include an upgrade or merchant like resident evil 4, where i could sell my treasure and level up my guns or armor or something. Im super drunk.

Me either, I still haven't completed the campaign. Shoot me a PM any time I'm on Origin

Statement of a generation. A lot of people seem to ignore Half Life 2 because of the age of it. They're missing out, big time. I only played it this year and the whole experience is one of the best I've had in gaming. The whole thing feels like a seamless combination of a feature film and an excellent FPS. And some of the boss fights are horrible, in a good way.

Yes! I love Half-Life 2 and have played through it several times actually. One of the finest games ever made :)

You can't really do that at the start of the game, though, unless perhaps you're cheating.

I think HL2 ties with Morrowind for the best game I've ever played. It certainly has my favourite moment (a bit where you fall down into a sewer and Barney shouts something. I think I can avoid spoilers as most players will know the bit I'm on about).

Been playing a lot of Forza 3 with the housemates. We discovered "simulation damage" mode, and the game has basically devolved into strategically ramming each other to cause engine and axle damage to your opponent.
