Been replaying the first four Silent Hill games(You know, the good ones)

Had forgotten how much of a mind**** the Otherworld transfers in the third one were. And the Mirror Room, oh lord I hate that so much.

i got more thrills from the Spectrum 128 version of the text-based adventures with sparse graphics "Dracula" and "Frankenstein" (then rated "18")

It was good in the beginning, then it got boring. In the end I used a walktrough because I got sick of all the running around and getting killed and I just wanted to see the ending (which was disappointing).

I have this thing with point & click games - I just HAVE TO finish them, no matter how boring they are. Once I start playing one, I have to see the ending

Only point & click games I finished are those Indiana Jones games.

I have always wanted to do that.

I haven't played a Silent Hill game ever.

if you want to start, go for 2 - it's the best of the bunch - a bit short, though

and don't worry, each game is stand-alone, no continuation

Disagree. The first has always been the scariest in the series, in my opinion.

thanks for the suggestion but I will play the first one through to the last one and decide for myself which is the best/better one
