Hardly. Hes there for about 15 seconds at the end with assignment ada.

My point was that im glad they started off fresh, it needed to be done. the story line was getting near metal gear solid in terms of plot holes and weird patchwork.

Well then they just should off started a different franchise. It shouldn’t even be considered a sequel since it has almost nothing to with the other games, but then again that’s how Devil May Cry was created. It's a bit late to start fresh, it would be like AC/DC all of a sudden becoming a techno band or something. You can already tell about RE5 theyre gonna be milking just about everything that made about RE4 good into something tiring like the did with its processors

Why start a new franchise when you already have a great license?

Video games are about money just as much as any other medium, or even toy.

If you have something recognizable your gonna keep it.

How can you tell they're milking 4? Have you played RE5? They added co-op, thats something completely new. Its in a different location. Nobody has any idea the storyline yet.

Even if what you were saying was the case, i would still be excited just because i loved RE4 so much.

Resident Evil 4 to Resident Evil 5 is as big of a leap as GTA3 to 4, Gears 1 to 2, or any fighting game ever.

But GTA has great story and open world roaming so theyre not even comparable. And Gears is pretty much the macho brother of Halo. But yeh I have played RE5 and the whole time I kept rubbing my eyes to be sure I wasnt really playing RE4, theyre that much a like, I was disappointed.

you missed my point.

I was saying the jump from GTA 3 to 4, Gears 1 to Gears 2 is equal to that of Resident Evil 4 to 5.

Resident Evil 5 is adding about as much new content, and tweaking the formula as those games did on their latest iterations.

Of course it is... but then again, I'm easily frightened. Seriously, the noises the zombies make, and the sudden music that happens when you near zombies is enough to put me under my covers.

Edit: As matious said, the atmosphere...

GTA 3 to 4 is a great change since there is ALOT more you can do. But you really should play RE5 and you'll see what I mean. The opening level is exactly like that of 4 you see some crazy villagers killing someone they see you and you have to hold out in a small house.
