By the beginning of Half Life 2 that is seriously all you know. The genius behind the game is that it doesn't treat you like an idiot. You have to pay attention to bits of evidence that help piece the story together. There are signs, posters, and things lying around in the world that will help you put together what is actually going on. The characters in the game all assume your character knows what is going on, so no one will tell you. It's actually an incredibly intricate story. I liked the game a lot, if you couldn't tell.

I just started a new game in Half Life 1 the other day. I've never beaten this one before, only started it, but I think this is the time. I plan on moving on throughout the series once it's done. |

'Twas amazing. Quote:
Half Life has been a fan favorite because of the atmosphere it puts you in. The story is top-notch if you pay attention through the first and second games (and the episodes) and it's one of the few series that actually gets better as it goes on. Valve has stayed true to what the game has been about. It's often highly-regarded as one of the best games ever by plenty of people, players and critics alike. I happen to agree with them. It's one of the only games that I've actually felt like I cared about the actual characters. And that rarely ever happens with me. I'm patiently waiting for Episode 3. Valve delays projects all the time, and, so far, everything they delay ends up top notch. They like to make sure their games are finished before putting them out. G-Man is what he's called, I believe.

Just finished my pre-orders for Bulletstorm and Dragon Age 2.
I'm hoping that Dragon Age 2 lives up to how great the first one was. Can't wait to use my Ser Isaac of Clark armor.
