L.A. Noire is a new Detective game being released by Rockstar.
The video isn't on youtube, but I'll post it here. L.A. Noire Video Shows Off Its Unusual Gameplay - News - www.GameInformer.com

wow I'm loving that. It reminds me a bit of Heavy Rain but not as interactive as Heavy Rain as far as the fighting/shootouts go.

probably going to Malacca (coastal town where my fiancee lives) to get the first Disgaea (Jap RPG for the PS2)
the sequel was brilliantly complex, I can't wait to get my hands on the prequel and the third one (out on the PS3) |

I thought GTA IV was the best game I've ever played. Never been so involved in a game. It's almost like a movie. So brilliant.
I have a feeling that red dead will be just as good... Who knows. LA Noire looks good too. By the way, Test DRive Unlimited II was a major disappointment

Aside from Jacob and the Irish family the characters in GTA IV were really dull, SA was the best GTA game yet. Right now I'm really hyped for the new Uncharted as well as L.A Noire. And oddly enough the new True Crime looks promising. Oh and the new X-Men game despite them keeping the details of it hush hush. I still don't know if it's an RPG, an action/adventure, a free roam or linear, they've left no clues at all. |

Bulletstorm does look pretty cool. I'm still waiting for the price of Vanquish to drop but if it takes too long I may just get BS (har har) instead.
I also want to borrow Dragon Age sometime since BioWare have made two of my favorite game series ever (Mass Effect and KOTOR) but it just looks, I don't know... nerdy. It's like I already got a lifetime's worth of fantasy RPGs with Oblivion. I know it's a stupid reason not to play something but I just feel like if I play anymore games with swords and magic I'll end up like the weird kid with a beard in my history class. |

Currently I'm playing Batman: Arkham Asylum (I've had it ages, only just started to really motor through it though) and NFS:Most Wanted.
There are alot of FPS games I want coming soon, Killzone 3, Bulletstorm and Crysis 3 all look amazing, as does RAGE and Brink. LA Noir is going to be one of the best games this year, easily. Every character is a real person motion captured by 32 HD cameras, so that you can judge character reactions during the investigation parts. As long as they dont make it too much about that side of things and it is pretty free flowing, it should be fantastic. Red Dead was too good last year, best story I've seen in a game. John Marsden is one of my favourite characters ever, and I've never been so emotionally attached to a fictional character |
