Idk man. This generation graphics, at least in terms of raw horsepower don't mean as much. Playing through half life, the color scheme and character movement all looks great. All the people react like humans.

If they improve the textures some, it won't really matter to me too much. Episode 3 better be the finale though.

Anyone else think episode 1 was a total waste of time?

Lets go BACK into the building we just blew up...for some reason?

To me, graphics don't mean much, but I figure it would be a bad marketing move to fall behind on technology. Both Half-Life and Half-Life 2 were real achievements graphics-wise and now they're starting to fall behind. If they do it more, they will be leaving themselves open for criticism which I assume is unacceptable for Valve seeing the standard they have on their products.

I wouldn't call Ep 1 a wate of time, but I was a little disappointed for sure. It was very much a way of bridging the gap .. nowhere close to the quality of Ep 2 :)

Anyone have all the Episode 2 achievements? I only miss one, shooting all the glow worms. There's one I couldn't find somewhere. :p:

I've gotten all the Episode 2 achievements. I just need to get a couple Team Fortress and those Portal Gold Medal achievements and I'll have em all.

The last released Episode 3 date was Christmas 07, but we all know how Valve is with release dates.

Valve Time: Christmas 2007
Actual Time: Coincident with the Rapture

episode 2 was perfect as far as im concerned. It's the closest the videogame has came to having a "the road"-esque narrative.

Trying to get to this place on a piece of **** jalope while encountering various aliens and human refugees was awesome.

Something i've always wondered was why is Gordon so ****ing famous though? Like everybody on the planet is an some type of scientist who knows about black mesa, i dont get it..

Downloading Amnesia: The Dark Descent at the moment.
Anyone play this yet? It has some great reviews. Supposed to be spooky as hell. I guess I'll find out soon enough.

Mmyeah, it's okay. I've played it for a couple of hours. It's not the kind of spooks that really tickle my scare bone, but it's creepy enough :)

It's scary as **** if you play it in the dark with headphones, one of my favorite games of last year for sure.

Sparky 02-03-2011 10:21 AM

Kirby 02-03-2011 08:44 PM
