Also, being a sony fanboy has nothing to do with liking FF more, as FF started on Nintendo.
Good point, I was joking anyways. Plus FF had it's peak on Sony's console.

And I disagree strongly, FF is far better then Zelda imo. Maybe that's just because I highly value story though in my games.

final fantasy stories put me to sleep. actually, probably 95% of game stories do that.

Hmm can't say I agree about FF, in fact it disappoints me these days how shallow the stories in video games are, with the exception of Rockstar games (which are usually pretentious anyways) and BioShock. Too many typical FPS's clouding up the market.

Maybe if you had played them when you first came out you'd appreciate them more since in terms of graphics and gamplay they're pretty dated now.

Ahhhhh, right. I am such a noob. So do you mean the satchel of useful goods? Is this the blue gear reward bag? Because I was doing that instance as a quest and not as a random dungeon, bad idea probably. I'm still so confused as to how the random dungeon finder work. I completed my first random dungeon yesterday and my satchel of useful goods wasn't in the mail afterwards! I'll check again today but who knows... also, is this reward bag even any good? So far I've done a bunch of dungeons and haven't really gotten anything that great out of them.

Also, I'm just about to hit level 60 which means I can finally get a flying mount, hurrah, but just to confirm do I have to spend 250g on training, 50g on a mount, and another 250g on a license to fly in Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms?!

yeah that's the reward bag that I was referring to. The satchel only shows up in the mail if your inventory is filled upon completion of the dungeon. Yes that reward bag is usually really good stuff in there depending on what you have already though. Sometimes you will end up just vendoring what it gives you because it has stats that you don't like.

As far as flying costs go, I believe you are correct. After all is said and done, you'll only be able to fly at 100% speed. It costs way more for a higher speed increase.

FFVI is generally considered the best of the final fantasies on snes. I have played both that and A Link to the Past. While I like both, there is absolutely no doubt in my mind that A Link to the Past is the most entertaining game to play. Even if FFVI lasts longer, you may have more fun putting the same amount of hours into A Link to the Past and completing it several times, I feel.

Don't get me wrong, FF VI was brilliant and it's a game I love. But I think that more than a great story, FFVI had a lot of story. If you played it again, you'd see that there were a lot of clichès, the dialogues were embarassingly bad at worst and so on. It was good, but not all of that was genious.

Anyways, it was more than good enough actually. The biggest problem with FFVI is that the gameplay and all the random encounters in the game simply didn't stay interesting for the amount of time it took to complete the game. When A Link to the Past was fun to play from start to end, in FFVI, I got really tired of the game and oh-so-boring random encounters long before I even approached the end. I think I finished the game on my third attempt. The first two attempts, I just got too bored. The story and stuff was fun, but again, it couldn't quite make up for all that tedious combat ..

So for me, A Link to the Past > Final Fantasy VI

Actually, I consider A Link to the Past the best (most entertaining) SNES game I've ever played and I've played all the big ones, including all rpg titles like secret of Mana, Breath of Fire 1 and 2 or Chrono Trigger. Hence, I don't really agree that it's overrated. If you want entertainment from an SNES, it's the safest bet in my opinion.

I've always thought Metroid was the far better, far more interesting adventure/platformer/RPG.

I give up on Red Faction Guerrilla, it's just not for me....I'm sending it back so I can get Uncharted 2
