If i told you they should make a cel shaded cartoony zelda with a talking boat before wind waker you probably wouldn't be interested either.

Ive been playing the new Prince of Persia, which is a lot of fun.

I finally finally finally got Call of Duty 4, and all I have to say is that I won't be playing Halo for awhile.

Apart from a few gimmicks all the games have the same basic formula of linear dungeon exploration and tedious item collection.

I'm sorry, I didn't know games in a series weren't supposed to have a unifying style of gameplay.

And how is the dungeon exploration linear? For Zelda games, exploring and backtracking is key. And item collecting isn't tedious, it's a big part of the fun.
