I'm not sure about winning at every table but killing every type of animal is part of it.

I'm playing Civilization III (PC) and Civilization Revolution (DS). I still suck at III (I have to play on Chieftain if I want to even have a shot at winning) but I'm getting good at Revolution. I've beat it on King twice now, I'm gonna step up to the next one (I think it's Monarch) soon.

I'm like that with Curse of Monkey Island (my first exposure to the series back in '97) but I'm getting on the game designer's train of logic and advancing faster than I thought. I also learned that The Secret of Monkey Island was given the same graphical treatment so I can finally play the series from start to finish. One of these days I'll get back on with The Longest Journey (Which I'm sure you're familiar with being Norwegian and all), because that game was far too much fun to just give up on.

The Longest Journey is a game I've played, but I never actually finished it! Maybe I should pick up that one as well .. and there's a second one out as well.

It kind of sucked that I had to buy this game again (I've got the 4 disc set right next to me) but at least I know it will work. In any case this is probably one of the most pivotal game of my childhood. Indigo Prophecy... it was a unique game for the PS2 and Xbox with Heavy Rain as it's spiritual successor. I bought this last year on Steam but it didn't want to work, but perhaps because the stars are aligned the right way, the game is working now. It's been harder getting use to the controls again, I even had to remap a few because they were ridiculous where they were. Overall it's just as fun as it was once I started getting into it, and I'm finding out all sorts of things I didn't know, like if you decide to drink a lot of alcohol in your apartment, then take some pain pills, you die. |
