Harvest Moon for the Super Nintendo.
It's a farm simulator, which I know sounds incredibly lame, but it's not, one of the best SNES games of all time, in fact.
Basically, you start off with a sh*tty farm that you just inherited from your folks. You gotta clean it up, like cutting grass, chopping down tree stumps and breaking rocks, then you start planting seeds and growing crops (patatoes and turnips in the spring, corn and tomatoes in the summer) which you can then harvest and sell them for cash, you also buy livestock like cows and chickens, raising, taking care of then, selling the milk and eggs they produce and you can even breed them sell them. You lose stamina when you work to hard and you eat to gain more. The game also has an internal clock so it's real time, goes through a day and night circle and through the seasons. Both timed and random events happen during the game, like monthly festivals and natural disasters like hurricans.
Theres a town where you buy the seeds, livestock and tools you need, as well as food for stamina. And another cool thing is that you can even woo the local womenfolk, and when you're successful you can propose to them, marry them, extend your house and make it bigger and have a kid or two to keep the family business going.
It's like a sim/rpg overall. And it's one of the most addictive games I've played in a long time.
