Ugh.. don't like MW2. It's fun if you don't mind just running around killing everyone (or getting killed by everyone), but I like strategy in my FPS and some kind of objective other than headshots and insane kill/death ratios. That just gets old.

No I'm just a hardcore retro gamer and don't play newer games that often.

I found that there was a whole lot of strategy that you could employ in the game. It's NOT a game that you can excell at from just running around and shooting sh*t, I was getting my ass kicked by pros.

MW2 blows. I'm 4th prestige with like 10 days playtime, or something redonkulus, and I can safely say it's an awful game that's been completely catered to noobs.
Ok, but, lately I've been playing Super Mario Galaxy 2. I have this rant beginning to form in my head, but I haven't really hashed it out. It has to do with the fact that "world design" has completely slipped in the Galaxy titles. What I mean is, Mario 64 and Sunshine were centered around maps with 8 or so Stars to be acquired. They were complex, well-planned worlds with lots of exploring to do. Completely non-linear. However, in the Galaxy titles, it's almost as if Nintendo is like "f*ck it, we're tired, let's just go to back to the 8/16-bit days" where map/world progression is completely linear. Each "world" has 2-4 Stars to acquie and MOST of them are honestly just shooting yourself (via star launcher thingy) from one floating rock to the next. It's quite boring, and I'm really unsatisfied with this game. |

10 days of playtime should make you hate any game.
the thing with your galaxy crying is that the games are still ridiculously fun. who the fuck cares if its linear or not. i didn't find it boring at least.
