that's obviously not really accurate, but visually they definitely modeled the main character after Lara Croft. i think this one suffered for being a little too advanced for its time. it was awesome but most systems had a hard time running it and it was a story based rpg at a time when everyone was losing their minds over brand spanking new tournament style FPS games (Quake3 and the original Unreal Tournament).

Just downloaded:
Army Men Air Attack

Army Men Sarge's Heroes

Hot Wheels Stunt Track Driver

Last one's kinda a little kid game, but still fun.

It's a fantastic game IMO, but maybe it's because I first played it when I was about 8, it blew my bloody mind.

I do agree with the Lara Croft thing, but I find it's a much better game than the Tomb Raider ones of the time.

I'm really happy that you know the game, for some reason.

it's all good

the greatness of the game also has nothing to do with being 8, i was 22 when it came out (and wasting my time in college studying video game design) it WAS awesome. just wiki-ed the series and come to find out a sequel DID come out a couple of years later, but only on PS2.

Hehe, I've been playing it quite a bit today.

Something about the whole story is just amazing, even though it's a bit of a cliche.

nice, i should try to find a copy again, though i don't know if it would support widescreen or if i'd have to manually tweak the resolution and field of view settings in the config or ini files. that's still assuming there aren't overrides hard coded into the main graphic engine to prevent 'breaking' the game.

cliches are a staple of pc games especially fantasy based titles, there's no getting around it hehe. but there's really something to be said about mid-late 90s pc games though - that era was special.

Well, I've been playing it, but I've been having trouble.

First I couldn't even start a game, the Engine would crash. I had to start it up in Developer's Mode and save a game so I could do it normally from then on.

Now whenever the graphics supposedly get demanding, the engine crashes. It's not too often, but it's a complete bloody nuisance.

Great game! The disco room at the end is sick.
