I'm a bit lame when it comes to games i have to admit. Haven't played a good console game in ages - The last proper one I played was Knights of The Old Republic (yep, that old!).
The most I play at home at the moment is on the Wii Fit in a lame attempt to to shake some lard off my fat ass! |

Pretty identical. Instead of red shells there are missiles, instead of banana skins there are traffic cone shaped mines. There are also character specific all-star moves that are a nice idea but are in danger of becoming repetitive.
It's obvious that a SEGA mascot racing game would draw comparisons with Mario Kart, but in all honesty, the similiarities in gameplay are few and far between. Though I must say I do enjoy the fact that those in 12th place aren't automatically given the best weaponry, meaning that All-Stars might actually reward skillful racing, unlike Mario Kart Wii.

So far I'm not that impressed by it. Graphics are great but the scare tactics are pretty ordinary to say the very least. I've found played the first chapter and already I've had 3 monsters jump up at me after I thought they were dead. Sure it was scary the first time, but now it's just predictable. |

It's been a minute since I've played this one (and by a minute I mean about 5 or 6 years). I'm gearing up for FF13 to come out. Of course I need to scrape together the funds for a PS3 before I can play it, but in the meantime, I'm revisiting the rest of the series.

I still want to check out Dead Space, as well as Extraction on the Wii.
Also, my anticipation for Sonic 4 has been intensified due to the revelation that it will be developed by Dimps, hooray. Quote:

I think it's a double-edged sword. It either makes for an incredibly fun and frenetic race or an incredibly frustrating one.
The game appears to punish you for being in first place, making for some definite balancing issues. I also didn't like the fact that there wasn't that many new courses - it was fun to see some of the old, classic tracks re-emerge but after the quality of courses in Double Dash I felt that the selection was quite poor this time round.
