About a month ago, I was in the throes of mono with a continous three weeks of fever which kept me away from work. During that time, I discovered and started to play Sea of Thieves, the open world pirate game from Rare which came with my Windows/Xbox gamepass.
What actually drew me in was the feeling of just sailing the boat through the waves which just feels great and very immersive. I'd never played a game with somewhat realistic ocean physics and feel before. You can even get sea sick, like for real. Brilliant! Supposedly the game was a bit thin in terms of content when it debuted, but we're now 8 seasons in and there's been more than enough to do to keep me interested. I've also been playing it a bit with my 6 year old who's a great bilge rat, repairing the boat and feeding our pets while I do the battling and heavy lifting. It's a lot of fun! |
I'm glad I didn't fall for the trap and buy The Callisto Protocol. I guess I'll be waiting until January for the Dead Space remake.

currently playing some Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
really looking forward to Jedi: Survivor. though, i'm genuinely hoping that the novel that is set in-between that games won't be necessary reading. |
Replayed the Mass Effect trilogy. The fact that femshep can't romance Tali is still the greatest travesty in all of video games, an absolute affront to lesbians worldwide, even worse than the ending of Bayonetta 3 where she suddenly becomes straight and hooks up with the biggest ****in loser ever.

At least we still have Garrus.

But he doesn't even have an emergency induction port!
|
His induction port is the emergency.
