The main character is a sprite I believe, but everthing else is 3d. Don't know why they made that decision but the game looks pristine.

Got sucked back into ESO after a long hiatus from it. Still a phenomenal MMO. way better than it was when it initially released. I'm a khajit sorcerer using mostly shock and fire for my abilities.

Oh. Em. Gee. I was too impatient to finish Guacamelee before trying Hollow night so I took just a quick look and it looks GORGEOUS. I feel like I'm playing a character from a Miyazaki movie! LOVE IT. Then I started googling "most gorgeous PS4 games" and then I found out there is literally a game that looks like a Miyazaki movie and now I have to have this also!!

How to deal??

Anyone try playing the new Psychonauts? It's crazy that after all these years there's finally a sequel that takes place literally days after the first.

Well I got to the final boss fight of Guacamelee, not sure if I'll bother finishing it, I saw the walkthrough and it looks quite tiresome. Overall, I'd give it a 4/5. It's very big (it helpfully counts the time you spent on it and I clocked in just below 20h, going back for some treasures unavailable without some abilities you acquire later on), the animation is great, mostly it's a fun experience, but some levels are just unreasonably difficult to pass. More than a few times I had to reach for a youtube walkthrough to understand how I'm supposed to pass. Definitely one of the best PS4 games I've played, despite of the gripes. Will be getting the 2nd part of course eventually.

Moving on to Hollow knight:

That trailer looks amazing btw. However, I have to agree with some disgruntled reviewers, it takes a long ass time to get moving, I spent at least 2 of the 3 hours I've played so far aimlessly roaming around, trying to collect some cash for upgrades to make it more playable (like a map and compass), which frankly, should have been there since the beginning. And getting to your first power up is a pain in the ass, you're expected to beat some pretty formidable bosses with pretty weak basic abilities. Not to mention that each time you die, you don't go back to the beginning of the boss fights but to the save point, which is normally not very close (something Guacamelee did right). The progression should have been a bit faster and smoother. But anyway, I'll keep playing and exploring, because wow, that trailer makes it look really exciting. And the animation is really gorgeous.

Beat my first ever run of Hades last night. What an absolutely phenomenal experience of a game. I can't wait to keep playing and get stronger to see what more this game has to offer. No wonder this game has been getting nothing but praise since release. Absolutely in love with it.

Pretty sure Slay the Spire is the **** considering how much time I spend muttering to myself about how good/bad my cards are and how good/bad my card draws are. It's a rogue-like card rpg btw. And it's neat.

Many many hours put into it. Great game. Monster Train is also great if you're itching for more rogue like deck builders with immersive gameplay. Highly recommended.
