Etrian Odyssey Nexus cause a JRPG 1st person dungeon crawler with perfect party building mechanics is literally the greatest form of game.

Etrian Odyssey is a series I've actually never tried out, I'm assuming you'd recommend it? 2020 has been JRPG heaven so far with Final Fantasy 7 Remake and then Trials of Mana, both of which were excellent, and Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition comes later this month. And then Tales of Arise later this year. So I'm kind of obsessed with the genre right now

OMG yes get one of them. They're only on DS and 3DS so far, but there's like 8 of them between both systems with 5 of them on the 3DS and they're generally all considered to be great. 5 was my entry point and I put about 150 hours into it just cause playing around with party composition is so in-depth and satisfying. Nexus seems to be the only one that's particularly affordable now though so maybe emulate.
