Weird. I just watched a Mother's Basement video a few days ago that gushed over that game.

It's... a very interesting game.
My first playthrough ended with me bombing a city for lols and beating the **** out of a hot terrorist lady in a robot duel and then spending a few years in prison for being too cool. And then after my parole I caught up with my best friend on a romantic beach and she was like "Yo let's make out" and I was like "Nah let's have a robot fight instead" and then we did and it was awesome. It's one of those games that probably gives you more choices than it should.

Don't think I haven't toyed with the idea of spending Trump bucks on a PS2 just as a JRPG platform, and Steambot Chronicles is a nudge closer to that cliff.

Nah, just emulate it. The physical copies are way too expensive.
But! If you do get a PS2, well first make sure that it's a slim because the original fat ones suck and break and the slim ones are ****ing sexy and last forever, but anyway, keep in mind that all PS2s can also play PSX games. So you'll have access to all those oldass JRPGs too (and a copy of Parasite Eve is only like, what, twenty bucks? And I think FFVII is like ten or fifteen). Although now that I think about it, if you already have a PS3, those can play PSX games too.
