Streaming services like Google’s Stadia and Microsoft’s Project xCloud are promising to end the era of console games and discs. But with a limited selection of games and slow adoption, these services have challenges to overcome before they can successfully take on gaming giants.

There are gamers who swear by the benefits of playing in front of a keyboard and mouse on a custom-built PC, while others prefer the convenience and ubiquity of consoles like the Xbox and Playstation. Those console brands, in particular, have become powerhouses in the world of at-home gaming.

Microsoft sold 30 million units of the Xbox One console between its release in November 2013 and the end of 2017, according to IHS Markit. Sony sold 73 million PlayStation 4 consoles that same time period.

But there’s a new player in the game: streaming video game platforms. You could play from anywhere, on any device, any time. And you don’t need to worry about your hardware becoming obsolete.

Google’s Stadia, Microsoft’s Project xCloud, and Nvidia’s GeForce Now make it easy to play top-tier games without a console or PC. The subscription-based services stream video games from high-end gaming machines through the cloud.

The tech isn't ready. All I've heard about it is bad.

DS games are some of the most commonly faked carts these days. The best way to know for sure is to get a look at the board, but popping a DS cart open is a pain because you have to reglue it, and nobody got time for that ****.

Basically, all you can do is hop on Google and cross reference their pics with what the real deal is supposed to look like.

The main tells of a fake DS cart are an incorrect serial number, a wonky label (wrong color, cut poorly, has the UK variant of the seal of quality even though the specific version is supposed to be US), and a poorly sized (or sometimes even straight up misspelled) "Nintendo" on the back.

Once you actually get the game, if you boot it up and you immediately get a message along the lines of "The game will now play", you been duped.

Good luck, bro.

**** yeah it is. I had a DS for like a week before it crapped out and I never bothered to replace it and Order of Ecclesia was one of the two games I had and I'm super bummed I didn't hang onto it.

Pulled the trigger and got it a few days ago and daaaammmmmnnnn does this game knock. It's light on the exploration but actually can kick your ass, like I've actually died a few times outside of boss fights even with grinding for levels and sometimes an enemy beyond my level just bum rushes me and I scream like a bitch before dying in five seconds. Still not as hard as Medusa Heads from NES Castlevania though. **** that ****.

Oh and btw, I was checking out the DS section in a game store the other day, and right in front was a fake Order of Ecclesia. Made me think of you.
