Got Pokemon Shield.
After all the stupid drama leading up to its release, turns out it's just a ****ing Pokemon game. Pretty good so far. The pop-in is hilariously bad and some parts of the environment look PS2 worthy, but the mechanics are tight and balanced. And they kept the visible encounters from LGPE, so you can actually see wild Pokemon before you kick the **** out of them. Nice touch. Makes the world way more vibrant. And if you prefer the old-school random encounters, you can still get those too. Oh, and they learned from the Sun and Moon ****show and finally gave players the choice to skip tutorials and ****. Thank Crom. Ultra Moon did eventually grow on me, especially in the post game, but if I ever had to slog through that goddamn story again, I'd sit on a ****in Cloyster and let it Waterfall my ******* into a slip 'n slide. |
Nice. Im going to watch my friend stream it tonight

Im still playing a 20 year old wizard game and loving it.. just made a new assassin type character to fight in dungeons with.

Bro, get off that **** and grab deez Pokeballs. You would like modern Pokemon more than anyone. It's a min/maxers wet dream
Right off the bat, you've got hundreds of characters to build into teams, each with a ****ing gigantic movepool that you have to somehow funnel into just four slots Then you've got base stats, IVs (variances in base stats that are assigned when you first encounter a mon), EVs (permanent stat boosts that you get from fighting specific mons), abilities (inherent powers that affect things in hilariously unpredictable ways, each species usually has a few that they can potentially have), hidden abilities (don't ask), egg moves (certain techniques that can only be learned through mating certain mons together), etc. And don't even get me started on held items, they ramp the variable factor up to ****ing eleven. Even just the Choice items, which boost certain stats by a huge 50% but restrict you to using just one move, will drive you insane in competitive play You can spend weeks planning out just one team of three Pokemon for Super Singles. And then get completely swept by your enemy's very first mon 'cause they hit you with a Trick Room that you didn't expect, or threw out a weird-ass cross type that you didn't prepare for It's like a game of chess, only you get to make your own pieces, and they all move in such insanely bizarre yet specific ways that it'd make Deep Blue bust a circuit and a nut |
My friend streamed sword and honestly i got jealous cus it looks awesome. The one part i didnt like was seeing move the control to stir a stew at camp. That part felt unnecesary.
Still playing P5 and Futaba finally joined us! The girls in this game are fine but really only futaba is my type (and maybe makoto too idk) aside from her the only other thats my type is the shogi player and my maid teacher, that bitch draining my funds tho but i like she calls me master. But still.. they all fall short to my girls Mitsuru and Aegis from p3 |

But can you play those while taking a ****, or sitting on an airplane? Or ****ting on an airplane? Buy a beat up DS and a multicart with gens 4 and 5 loaded onto it, and every run to the bathroom suddenly becomes a magical adventure.
