I should drop acid and play Silent Hill as punishment for the way I've lived my life.

Bruh Amnesia The Dark Descent is fantastic through and through. I beat that game to completion and I didnt regret one bit. I think I enjoyed the end of Outlast a bit more tho. Both great games.

Unfortunately I watched several Amnesia playthroughs before actually playing the game so I knew when to be scared and when I was safe so like the first quarter of the game was partially ruined for me. And yet even when I knew I didn't have to worry the game still managed to make me paranoid and uneasy cause it's so well made. And there's also a part near the beginning where if you go to a certain spot there's a skippable but very serious jump scare that I never saw on any of the let's plays so I'm just casually spooked but still confidently wandering around like I own the place and then all of a sudden AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I still think to this day the part I love the most is when you are going through the water with the creature underwater and you have to run across the room trying not to get stuck in the water for too long. Really well made puzzles in that game too. Super satisfying when you figured it out. Agreed tho. I'm sure I'd still get scared even if I played it today.
