I've never heard of that derogatory term. Awareness might have something to do with it.

But yes, I would agree that US culture at large doesn't consider natives much if at all.

Kind of, because I'm sure nobody would be as upset if I said beaner or spick. Just the N word. Yeah, perhaps black people being the most culturally relevant gives them the bigger platform but I don't think that really justifies the weird lines of what racism is tolerated. It should all be looked down on. Unless it's towards the whitey tighties.

I genuinely am hoping it's good. Itll be a nice redemption moment for EA if they can do it right. I'm also curious how they'll do at E3 since they don't typically have great E3 performances.

I might have to reevaluate my position on old school beat em ups. Loaded up Final Fight 1 and that moment when you realize you got ****ed up by like three guys for five seconds just cause you tried to punch when you were a pixel too low on the screen and they got the drop on you is a different kind of frustration than most games cause now you bout to beat dey ass in a more fist-meet-face kind of way and **** yeah. I don't know if I'm gonna become a heavy fan of this **** but I got a new go-to activity for when I'm drunk and have no desire to engage with "thought" or "stuff".

OMG an SNES controller for all things old school is amazing but now I've finally crossed the Rubicon and I'm on Yoshi's Island and I'm still not sure why Donkey Kong Country commands greater respect. There's literally no reason why Yoshi's Island isn't considered the greatest old school platformer ever and playing it with an SNES controller makes me feel better than you.

It was such a cute and triumphant moment!

It actually is by many people in retrospect. It never got the love it deserved when it first came out because it was released during the death of Super Nintendo and the birth of N64. If I remember right. But you'd be far from alone in calling it the best platformer when plenty of people consider it their favorite game of all time.

Yoshi's Island is definitely one of my favorite games of all time.
